College athlete gives up dream to help stranger

For some college athletes, their career can come to an end due to injury or different talent coming to town. However, one athlete is ending his career by choice. Cameron Lyle is a senior at the University New Hampshire and instead of continuing his last few meets of track and field, he is donating his bone marrow to a complete stranger that as Leukemia. Lyle put his name on the donating bone marrow list about two years ago and when he was asked on April 23 to donate his response was, "You can't measure life against anything. When you have an opportunity to save someone, you gotta go for it." His shot put and discus career have to come to an end, because after the procedure he can't lift 20 lbs. over his end. Lyle shows us how no matter what your dream is, if you feel it's right you will give it up to help someone else. "He is such an inspiration to athletes everywhere!" - A student at Rockford.
