Underage Drinking

Iowa, along with many other states have a major issue on their hands with underage drinking.  Although is illegal for persons under the age of 21 consuming alcohol.  According to Alcohol connections article on underage drinking. Minors that drinking typically consume more alcohol per drinking session than the average adult. According to their study 37 percent of 8th graders and 56 percent of high school student have drank alcohol.  This has been an ongoing issue in the United States,  and will be ongoing for ever.  When asked how she felt about underage drinking Mrs. Huebsch replied "It's an unfortunate option that kids choose when they are bored that leads to  many bad decisions and bad results."
